How much of an irrational sucker I am for paying said amount for said repair (1) just because I like the skin I put on the netbook, (2) just because my iPad is sync'd to it & I'm afraid of doing something wrong & losing all my data by sync'ing to something else, (3) out of sheer pointless stubbornness/perversity, and (wait for it) (4) just because it's a cutie pie: [birbiglia voice] SO MUCH [/birbiglia voice].

"You’d think that would be a great thing to hear, but I just shriveled up in a ball."  Love it.  Glad to hear he'd act -- his momentary but total disappearances into some of the people he describes (Dennis Eckersley, Joe Bags and especially "drunk little league dad") have always given me strong impression he'd be really good at it

Dilemma du jour: I can go see (and probably meet and fling myself adoringly at) Mike Birbiglia tomorrow, but it would be at the cost of having to be in the same room with Michael Ian Black, whom I cannot stand. :(
