It's too bad...I do believe he's a genuinely modest, good-natured and nice person, but because he is really really ridiculously good-looking, everything he does and says just comes off as faux-humble and smarmy. Everyone comes at him with their own expectations, can only see him through them, and it's obvious that he in turn doesn't understand the disconnect between his actions/intentions/words and what he's getting back. You see both sides get increasingly uncomfortable until one or the other awkwardly makes a break for it.
