he seemed to view each “cha” as a distinct maneuver, frowning intently as he mentally checked off the steps (“OK, time to execute a... CHA. Done! Now it’s time to execute a second... CHA. Done! And now, finally, a third...”).This perfectly captures how everyone looks next to Gene Kelly; I've been trying forever to express this exact thing in re Frank Sinatra (who isn't bad - just isn't Gene Kelly) in the wonderful "Anchors Aweigh".
Especially enjoyed uncaalby's comment: "you can always move to Canada where you'll probably die waiting in line for the only MRI machine in the nation... but at least it's already paid for" :D
