I forgot about/stopped checking on the Monkeys... for a little while there. A lot of them make me lol but this is a recent favorite.
I watched Knight and Day and it was so not that terrible! Exactly as charming and diverting as I expected, with some surprisingly memorable action sequences, and I even lol'd, more than once. All the bad guys meet their ends in interesting and satisfying ways. Some of the writing (especially near the beginning) is quite good, and the acting is fine (although neither lead at any point seems to be trying to be anything except exactly who they have been in every other movie they've ever been in, but that's ok; I like that one same person well enough), and they even have some chemistry. Not sure why it was so REVILED. It is perfectly serviceable shiny pleasant popcorn nonsense. Everything doesn't have to be Citizen Kane. Especially liked the little PS, but then I'm always a sucker for that kind of hinting (from across a humanly-unknowable kind and degree of distance) at, and the longing it evokes for, the real, vastly greater version to come of same.
