Granted I'm on a bit tighter schedule than theirs, but I don't know how they do it. Maybe it gets more...automated? with experience? And they get to the point of no longer spending most of their free moments remembering things they've forgotten to do or thinking of previously-unthought-of things that need doing? Travel secretary no doubt a big help.

The flyer's conundrum: you can wreck your day either by rising so early (to "have" more of the day at destination) that you're a zombie for at least the next 24h, or by being well-rested and having a pleasantly paced day at the expense of spending the seeming entirety of it getting to, waiting for, being on or getting away from a plane.

But I'm not complaining-- most enjoyable vacation in recent memory-- it's just funny and a bit ironic how grabby air travel is with one's time-- obviously the fastest way to get somewhere but by far the most "high maintenance" in terms of auxiliary time required. Unless one has a plane...which I believe was Burgletopia's responsibility...
