Yet another episode in which the plot paints you into a corner of conflicting cliche resolutions...and just when all hope seems lost, it lets you squirm out, barely, in some unexpected way that somehow manages not to feel like a cop-out. Linda Cardellini is really good... her laughing maniacally the second time she hears Daniel's "Track III" speech, unlike most on-camera ersatz crackups (HACK SARAH JESSICA PARKER HACK), was totally believable and contagious.
I also really love how seamlessly the writing & camerawork move the audience between the Weir kids' and parents' points of view, e.g., with Daniel - one minute you're pretty much just fanning yourself and sighing, and the next their father opens their front door to see him standing there and you want to slam the door in his face and call the cops. :D
