A soberer reaction

From today's nuclear attack, I could've concluded any # of "negative" things. Instead I conclude:
-- The result is exactly the right one, and long overdue. The rest is details (not even details, more like n/a)
-- if this what you need, go nuts. It's the same to me either way.
-- The unpleasantness of your surprise at not being able to manipulate me is, unfortunately for you, neither my fault nor my responsibility.
-- *Fortunately* for you, revenge doesn't interest me. Quite the opposite, in fact.
-- Whatever else you externally claim, in your heart of hearts you're surely as relieved as I
-- I could keel over of gratitude for the people I know who are good at being friends.
