SUITS makes many errors of detail* (lazy, lazy! all could have been averted with a 5-minute (tops) conversation with any knowledgeable person), but its other charms do hold my attention.
* Just a few:
(1) Partners - especially in a firm of this kind - don't do both M&A and litigation. Would you want your heart surgeon to also be a dermatologist?
(2) Associates don't sit in pits. You're thinking of a trading floor.
(3) No jr partner, however insecure, acts like Louis.
(4) I conservatively estimate that 30% of living Harvard graduates could not even so much as hum the melody of the entire fight song, and 75% do not know any words past the first 2 lines.
(5) Most firms these days have associates that aren't white men. A few tokens at least.
