Well, that's terrifying

Hey New Yorkers please watch this. Briefly having a car and driving around Manhattan cured me of jaywalking for a while, but I needed a reminder. No more impatiently waiting off-curb for me, either. (I've also GOT to get my nose out of my blackberry...how to break the habit...) I'm surprised there aren't MORE accidents than there are, and daily road-rage beatings. The aggressive- or non-yield is imo the biggest problem- I am nearly mown down that way at least once a day. (PEDESTRIAN BRIDGES PLZ, at least at the busiest intersections- how hard can that be?!) I am very glad guns are not allowed in Manhattan, and if they were the local population would probably be down to 10 within a week, but I'd be lying if I said I haven't ever idly speculated whether drivers would quite so ardently nuzzle me with their front bumpers if I adjusted the balance of power just a teench by always placidly no-look pointing a gun at them (OK, their cars) while going through crosswalks.
