"I thought you'd wait til Friday to say something like that!" - Prof Lal, fake-hurt; and
"Geez, thanks for the crappy flowers, *!" - JK, my seatmate;
(both when I noted, as a fatal flaw of Calyx & Corolla, the fact that the customer and recipient are different people and most likely geographically far apart, and therefore "I don't know or care that the flowers I sent you are fresher or last longer" [their primary distinguishing superior feature as against competitors].  Hey! I turned out to be right.)
