Today's example of the potential hilarity of N/S communications comes courtesy of an email exchange with my brother:

Me:  of course you have explained this to me before but as with all $/#-related matters it just slid right off my brain like jello off a rock. 
Bro:  What if it's a flat rock

which reminds me of my ALL-time favorite example of N/S (mis)communication:  Suzy's having initially, mystifyingly scored quite N...and it turning out to be because she is so S that she took literally - and therefore misunderstood - some of the N'ly-expressed questions, eg, "Your head is often in the clouds".
