I have now repeatedly seen the words "pedal" and "petal" spelled "peddle" (and in one case had a waiter explain, with undisguised incredulity at my stupidity, what a [petal] was, the meaning not being obvious from context). I have yet to see the word "peddle" spelled "peddle". #isabitch
