Super-faithful covers, down to every melisma and chorus variation. This is proportionally more irritating the better and/or more-successful the original. Naked grab for attention and cash, with zero artistic value added. Not that the music business is the least exploitative one on earth to begin with, but I think this might be especially vexing because it dims the specialness of the original.
